Law on E-Transactions

Purpose: To provide a legal framework for e-transactions in Vietnam.
Regulation: The Law on E-Transactions sets out the legal recognition of electronic records and electronic signatures, and provides guidelines for electronic contracts, electronic payment methods, and the formation and validity of electronic agreements. The law also establishes the requirements for the use and storage of electronic records and digital signatures, as well as the liability for breach of obligations in e-transactions. It applies to individuals, organizations, and state agencies that engage in e-transactions in Vietnam.
Law on Consumer Protection

Purpose: To protect the interests of consumers in Vietnam, including in e-commerce transactions.
Regulation: The Law on Consumer Protection sets out provisions for the protection of consumer rights and interests in relation to e-commerce activities, including requirements for information disclosure, product safety, and advertising standards. The law also establishes the rights and obligations of consumers and businesses in e-commerce transactions, as well as the mechanisms for resolving disputes between them. It applies to individuals, organizations, and state agencies that engage in consumer transactions, including e-commerce transactions, in Vietnam.
Law on Cybersecurity

Purpose: To protect national security and ensure the safety and confidentiality of information and data in cyberspace.
Regulation: The Law on Cybersecurity regulates the management, operation, use, and protection of networks, information systems, and data in cyberspace in Vietnam. It sets out provisions for the protection of personal information, electronic transactions, and critical information infrastructure, as well as the prevention and handling of cyber incidents and cyberattacks. The law also establishes the responsibilities and obligations of state agencies, organizations, and individuals in relation to cybersecurity, including in e-commerce activities.

Law on Cyber Information Security

Purpose: To ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of cyber information, and to protect national security in the field of information technology.
Regulation: The Law on Cyber Information Security sets out provisions for the management and protection of cyber information in Vietnam, including the development of policies and strategies, the establishment of security standards, and the prevention and handling of security incidents. The law also establishes the responsibilities and obligations of state agencies, organizations, and individuals in relation to cyber information security, including in e-commerce activities.

Law on Electronic Transactions

Purpose: To establish the legal framework for electronic transactions in Vietnam, and to promote the development of e-commerce.
Regulation: The Law on Electronic Transactions provides for the recognition and validity of electronic documents and signatures, the formation and validity of electronic contracts, and the use of electronic payment methods. It also establishes the responsibilities and obligations of parties in electronic transactions, and provides for the settlement of disputes arising from electronic transactions. The law applies to all electronic transactions that occur in Vietnam.
